Tyler

I don’t like to have my characters acknowledge that they are in a comic strip, but today It seems appropriate. Today(4/17/07)was a sad day. We had to put our 14 year old dog to sleep. He was my little buddy and it is very hard to write this post. The picture above was drawn after we had made the decision to do it. I needed to focus on something other than my little friend so I drew this. It was his time and he is in a better place but it was a very difficult decision for my wife to make. He was her baby, he was her best friend and it was very very hard to say goodbye. But in the end it was the right decision, he had lost the ability to use his hind legs, he couldn’t move and he tried to fight it(this started last tue and he was doing better), but today he gave up and the look he gave me this afternoon was almost as if he were telling us it was time to go. I will miss him very much. He was a good dog. We love you Tyler.

Now Bandit has another playmate, don’t worry he’s a gentle lug. I’m gonna miss Tyler, he was such a sweetie, and is in many of my pleasant memories growing up.

Sorry about your loss, man. I know how tough that can be.
